Five Flicks to Get Your Party On
Thursday December 24, 2015
Tis the season for celebrations and special events
And those parties can leave some unwanted 'residue' such as:
- Halloween candy, probably M&Ms, ground into the carpet.
- Thanksgiving gravy on the dining room chair, courtesy Aunt Hindi who is too busy talking to properly pass the boat without spilling.
- A Christmas wine stain you may need to hide with an area rug, again.
- A New Year's Eve party that resulted in something on the couch you wish you had forgotten.
- A Superbowl party that left some sort of discoloration on the tile- we think it's buffalo wing sauce.
It's time for Champion Carpet and Upholstery Care to pay a visit. Whether preparing for a special event, or cleaning up after one, we have what it takes to sanitize and clean your carpets, tile and upholstery, in residential and commercial spaces. With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to share a look back on some wild parties thrown in movies. Maybe you can use this list to make a movie marathon party.... just a thought!
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)
Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate awkwardly interact poolside at this 70's party. How could there not be an awkward moment with Mr. Ferrell sporting a robe and Speedo?
Sixteen Candles (1984)
John Hughes is a 1980's teen flick genius. We all wished we could party like this crowd but also not have any consequences. I've decided this movie is responsible for the all my stupid mistakes in high school.
Animal House (1978)
Do we really need to say anything else about this movie? There is not just one party, but several including the iconic Toga one, because these guys had no sense of the word, "Moderation".
Can't Hardly Wait (1998)
"Let me get this straight, the guy is kinda tall and has hair..."
"Yep."
We love this movie because it is actually a love story. Multiple love stories. We just have to get through the party to discover them. And who doesn't love Jennifer Love Hewitt?
The Hangover (2009)
I'm not sure a hangover was the problem for these guys. We didn't see a party scene and the aftermath, but rather the discovery and unfolding of a party that we hope we only experience in the movie theater.
Party responsibly this holiday season. A nice bowl of popcorn and a blanket on the couch will keep you safely enjoying other epic parties on the big screen. However, if you make your own fun... and resulting mess... give us a call!
