A new year, a new office building

Is 2016 the year for your business to move into a new space?
There are so many components that go into moving offices- from packing and having the right furniture, getting everything to point A to point B, changing over utilities and more. The exciting thing is that your business is growing and the last thing you want to think about is someone else's dirt in the carpets, tile and vents.
Champion Carpet and Upholstery Care not only professionally cleans and sanitizes carpets, but we also clean ducts. This makes us uniquely geared towards pre-move commercial cleaning.
What's in those ducts?
Furnaces can blow dust and allergens through the duct systems, and just changing the filters isn't enough. Furnaces and duct systems need to be checked to be sure there is no moisture, because moisture can create mold and mold spores, leading to sickness and allergies.
The National Air Duct Cleaning Association recommends cleaning air ducts once every 3-5 years and commercial space annually. They also suggest all newly constructed buildings have their ducts cleaned before running the HVAC system.
"Often HVAC system components collect significant amounts of debris and particulate during construction activities within a building. NADCA recommends that newly installed HVAC systems or HVAC systems undergoing renovation be verified clean, and protected before the system is permitted to operate."
In commercial buildings, there can be construction debris, tobacco residue, pest waste and even worse things. Get the ducts cleaned and breathe easier.
What's in that carpet?
There are plenty of studies about the overall cleanliness of carpets. In residential homes, we encourage people to remove their shoes in order to reduce dragging in junk as well as keep their carpets looking cleaner longer. But in a commercial space, that just isn't realistic. Shoes will bring in pesticides, tar, construction debris, grease and even pet waste.
Champion Carpet Care uses high pressured hot water extraction in order to deep clean and sanitize anything and everything that is being brought into your work space. Commercial carpets tend to have a flatter pile, more durability and colors to prevent wear. Adding professional cleaning will extend the life of the carpet by removing sand and chemicals that eat away and tear at the carpets, especially in high traffic areas.
Tile and grout can also be cleaned to keep it looking fresh and to remove any stains that would cause premature aging. Clean tiles will keep the area looking new longer, which reduces the need for costly remodel or tile replacement. Sealing the grout will prevent discoloration and aid in cleanup from mud, dirt and spills.
