Champion Mom: Checking Out Summer Camps in Denver
Tuesday April 23, 2019
Believe it or not, another summer is right around the corner. And for you busy moms, many of you are already planning for your kids’ activities this summer so you don’t have to hustle at the last minute.
One of the best experiences you can choose for your child is to attend a camp, be it a day camp or an overnight camp experience. So, here’s a rundown of some of the best camp activities you can look for in Denver depending on your child’s special interests.
- Music is always a popular activity with kids, but if you want to move beyond the normal piano or violin lessons, you might want to check out the camp activities at the Denver School of Rock. They offer multiple summer programs including Rock 101, The Music of Led Zeppelin, Electronic Music Production, and the Best of the '90s. This is sure to be a hit with your budding rock stars.
- Sports are another great summer activity because your kids can get all of that pent-up energy out and not spend the day becoming couch potatoes. Bladium Sports and Fitness Club is offering two different camp options. The first, Camp Bladium, offers activities such as Capture the Flag, Dodge Ball, Flag Football, and Soccer as well as access to an Inflatable Fun Zone. They also offer a Soccer Camp for those between ages 6-14 who are looking to improve their game before moving up to the program's International Soccer Academy.
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is one of the hottest job areas in the world today. If you want to give your kids a leg up on this and have fun at the same time, check out a STEM summer camp such as Mad Science of Colorado. Kids take part in interactive, hands-on learning activities that are fun and also expose them to fields such as astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, forensics, and physics. Each child will build several take-home projects to share their learning with you.
There are lots more to choose from when it comes to summer camps, but these three are definitely tops in our book. For more information check out https://denver.kidsoutandabout.com/content/guide-summer-camps-denver-co-area
