Some people have medical conditions that may require them to keep their shoes on, while others are more concerned with the condition of their socks, feet or the look of their outfit. Since Denver is a year-round town, with activities that keep us outdoors any day of the year, and therefore tracking in gunk with our shoes, having a no shoe policy is a good idea. If you aren't sure exactly why you should even consider a no shoe... Read More

Why to adopt a No Shoe Policy for clean carpets

Homes with small children, those toddlers and infants that spend most of their time on the floor, are encouraged to adopt a no shoe policy. And it is never too soon. Scientific studies, including those from the EPA, show the dangers that can enter your home from the soles of your shoes. Not only do shoes track in bacteria, they can track in dirt, grime and toxins that can damage your floors and even stay in your carpet. For these reasons, more and more Denver homeowners are using a no shoe policy in their home. So, what's on your... Read More

You dirty dog!

No, we aren't talking about the political campaigns running right now. We are talking about those furry babies that are a big reason for our carpets being SO dirty. Pet stains are the number one reason people get their carpets cleaned . And for good reason. Studies have shown that by having a pet, whether cat or  dirty dog, changes the microbial landscape of your home. The researchers have found that certain bacteria linked to dogs such as salmonella, and noted gingivitis, and pneumonia as some of the diseases that could be... Read More

7 Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Tips for Moms

Kids are so cute. And dirty. I sometimes have thought that kids are so darn cute because when they make big messes, we need some reason to extend the level of grace and patience needed to deal with it like an adult. And not the only sometimes OCD adult that we can be. Other than pet stains, kids make the most messes on carpets and upholstery. Whether paints gone awry, muddy footprints, food and drinks or more, kids are walking chaos makers. But, they are so cute and steal our hearts, so we need to deal with the temporary... Read More

Did my son just pee in my heating vent?

One of the most interesting calls we received was to clean a carpet and heating vent for a pregnant woman and her young son. With the recent family move and the impending addition to the family, the 5 year old son had begun, much to the mother's dismay, to use the heating vent and sometimes, the bedroom corner, as a toilet. She wasn't really aware of it until she noticed a smell that she hadn't noticed before. Then, she caught him in the act. She was quite horrified to discover her son's behavior and called us to resolve the... Read More
