Great Parks for Pets in Colorado
There are so many great outdoor spaces in Colorado. Nearly all of them will make a great adventure for you and your pets. Planning a picnic at a dog park might be tricky so branch out and find some new spots to visit. Making memories at new locations will be a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
Rocky Mountain National Pet features lovely views, wildlife and plenty of trails. It's just northwest of Boulder in the mountains and features both the Colorado River and the Continental Divide. Your dog is allowed within the parks but needs to avoid the trails and backcountry areas, per park guidelines - this means they can be in any areas accessible by your car including picnic areas.
Colorado State Parks has 38 different state parks where dogs are welcome on both trails and in campgrounds. They have a whole area on their website dedicated to people with pets.
