#ChampionMom - Making a Summer Break Schedule for Your Family
Thursday June 1, 2017
It’s officially summertime! The sun is shining, the grass is green, and school is out! It can be hard to find ways to keep your kids entertained during the summer months. After the first few weeks, all the fun ideas and projects seem to run out. We know that keeping things fun and exciting during this time can be a bit difficult, so we have put together a list of ways to keep our Champion Moms and their families occupied and in a practical way to do it.
Creating a Schedule
Trying to plan something each and every day of the week can be exhausting. However, you still have to find ways to keep everyone entertained and enjoying this beautiful season. Think about you and your family’s current schedule first. Do you have a job that you need to work around or certain sport or camp activities? Take all of your current commitments into consideration as you begin to plan your summer schedule.
A great way to start is to plan which days of the week you want to venture out of the house for memory making adventures. These different trips can be limited to just a couple of hours or turn it into a day trip! Once you have these days in place, then start to fill in the rest of your week. You can do simple arts and crafts or typical everyday activities. The main point is to create space for fun and new things for your family to do both as a group or as individuals.
